“ I have worked with The Eventing Way for 6 years of my eventing career. Throughout they have been an amazing team, passionate and professional about horses, as well as friendly kind, and committed in supporting me to achieve my objectives. Working with Stephen has hugely improved my understanding, ability and style in cross country riding. Along with one to one intensive training he has guided and assisted me to get to top events from National class to the Olympics, sharing his wealth of knowledge with me at every phase. When we walk each cross-country course together his passion and knowledge are amazing. I am very grateful to be part of their team for so long, achieving so much together. I highly recommend “ The Eventing Way” to riders at all levels as their comprehensive ability to improve your skills and competitiveness are unmatched." - Thomas Heffernan Ho

“ I cannot thank Mel, Steve and the whole The Eventing Way - Stephen Way Equestrian team enough for the last two years Ever since basing myself and my horses with them at the end of 2020, they’ve welcomed me onto the team and the family. Since then we’ve been lucky enough to enjoy two great seasons together - through all the ups and downs that horses (and life ) bring, they’ve stuck in my corner. They’ve done an incredible amount for my horses and myself through the years; with their help and support, I owe much of my riding and knowledge for horses to them. I’ll be forever grateful for everything they’ve done for me, and I cannot recommend them enough for training, livery, and all things horses" - Yu Xuan Su

“ Steve is a very entusiastic and positive teacher. He is extremely knowledgeable but comes across in a language that is easy to understand...not only do I come away from training sessions feeling that we have achieve something, thanks to Steve's good sense of humour we also have a lot of fun along the way!" - Clare Taubenheim

“ Steve has a wonderful way with horses - no pun intended! And I wish he still lived down the road so I could have regular lessons!" -Isla Finney

“ Stephen  has given me huge confidence in myself so I can enter the arena knowing me and my horse are both capable of jumping clear. My horses technique has got better and he is finding it easier to jump when I don't over ride him. Now the show jumping clears are coming much easier and I really enjoying this phase" - Jack Stancombe
